Who is responsible

This website is operated by Brutal Magic Games Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17441280. The company is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.

For anything about your personal data, including the requests listed below, write to brutalmagicgame@gmail.com.

What we collect, and when

If you join the mailing list, we collect exactly four things, all of which you type in yourself:

• your name
• your email address
• what you do (player, streamer, press, and so on)
• the platform you play on

We collect nothing else. If you do not sign up, we do not collect anything about you through this site.

Why, and on what basis

We use these details to send you news about Brutal Magic, and to send some messages only to the group you belong to, such as news aimed at streamers or press. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), which you give by submitting the form and then confirming by email. Nobody is added to the list without clicking that confirmation link.

Who else handles your data

• Kit, Inc. runs the mailing list. What you submit goes to Kit and is stored on servers in the United States and other countries. Kit certifies under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and offers a data processing addendum. See Kit's privacy policy.
• Netlify, Inc. hosts this website. Like any web host, its servers record requests, including your IP address, and keep those access logs for less than 30 days. See Netlify's privacy policy.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and includes no analytics or advertising trackers. Fonts, images and video are served from this site, so simply reading these pages contacts no other company. That is why you see no cookie banner.

How long we keep it

We keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops all mail from us.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or the EU, you have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we sent before. Write to brutalmagicgame@gmail.com and we will respond within one month.

You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office, ico.org.uk.

Children

The mailing list is not intended for children under 16. If you believe a child has signed up, write to us and we will delete the record.

Links to Steam, Kickstarter, Discord and X take you to services run by other companies, each with its own privacy policy. This notice covers only this website.

Changes

If this notice changes, the date below changes with it.
